McGrail Vineyards & Winery, a boutique winery rooted in family and friends, is renowned for its focus on crafting exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon through small lot production. What started as Heather's parents, Jim and Ginger, planting a cabernet vineyard in 1990 for personal enjoyment evolved into a flourishing winery. Initially selling grapes to Livermore's Steven Kent Winery, they transitioned to winemaking in 2003, starting with one barrel. Guided by Livermore winemaker Rhonda Wood, their production grew rapidly, leading to the establishment of McGrail Vineyards & Winery in 2008, initially featuring their signature Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from their home vineyard. The winery offers award-winning wines and stunning views of the Livermore Valley from its tasting room.
